I always buy my bread here. If you consider the ingredients and especially the weight of a bread with one of the e.g. Aldi compares you can get away here even cheaper and much healthier. The food in the restaurant is good, but a little expensive. But if you consider the good homemade quality, the price is justified. It is also a great destination with children because there are lots of meadows, animals and no cars.

Dealing with the situation creatively. At the donkey mill you can see how it works. In the farm shop you can get almost everything you need for a successful Christmas party. Here you can combine a nice walk with a little shopping experience and take away cake or a punch.

In the farm shop I was accused of theft when there was a change of staff at the checkout, a goaded customer tried to hold me. I had already paid for the goods, there was no apology. I have seldom been so ashamed! I've known the mill since I was a child, I grew up in Musberg, we were often at the mill, my grandmother fetched her flour here decades ago.

Good organic food. You can also go shopping and have a drink in a cafe. I can really recommend it.

Not recommended: Did not know about vegan dishes when ordering. Got a beeper that never beeped because we were forgotten for over an hour. Unfriendly when asking. Food didn't even taste good as a result. The consolation was that the garden is beautiful.

I have been coming to Eselsmühle for many years and unfortunately had to discover on my last visit that it is no longer what it used to be. The service has never been convincing, long waiting and queuing always had to be taken into account, but the quality was always very good and the selection of dishes was okay. This time I stood in line to be able to choose between two types of poppy seed cake (one afternoon during the week at 4 p.m.). In the farm shop there was another type of cake that turned out to be crumbly and dry and guaranteed not to be fresh. While shopping in the farm shop, I had to experience how a customer was rebuked in an outrageous way. It's a shame and doesn't really fit the Eselsmühle's motto "a piece of ideal world", but maybe this only refers to the donkey?

Beautiful garden atmosphere, self-service, dumplings with salad garnish, delicious. Donkey next door in the meadow, farm shop, large selection of delicious things, even dishes and toys. There is a stable that is used for parties. Toilets are unfortunately on the 1st floor. Great come again.

Nice, rustic garden bar with self-service. Simple but adequate range of dishes. The chickens run around between the tables and look well fed. The mill shop offers a wide range of Demeter foods. The bread offer is overwhelming. A nice destination for everyone.

Today I went to the self-service beer garden. Delicious food, super friendly service. You sit in the garden between rose bushes in the middle of the green. Every now and then a rooster stands next to the table and runs around between the tables, behind me a donkey (locked) ran along. The world is still fine here. The small shop with delicious things from the farm is also recommended, supplemented with many things such as also organic cosmetics, postcards and much more.

A place that invites you to linger and discover. And of course for feasting and shopping. The outside reach of the mill is very generous and all around are animals and nature. You cannot drive up directly by car, but walk about 5 minutes from the parking lot. The food is very tasty and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and the numerous seating areas are just great. I especially liked the farm shop with groceries, baked goods and decorations. Oh and donkeys to stroke there too.

So far everything is fine. Unfortunately, we were served by a middle-aged lady - around 50 years old - who had absolutely no desire for her job. Very, very rude. The other waitresses were nice.

Very idyllic. Beautiful beer garden where you can spend hours. Food and drinks are all organic. You have to cope with the chickens running around freely, even in the beer garden, and everything is a little more rustic. But that's why it's all the more charming!

We have been coming often and often for years, but that has come to an end. The organization has always been a bit chaotic, but we were satisfied with the taste and the service was always friendly. But during our visit yesterday, the food was an ABSOLUTE DISASTER and the service absolutely wrong.

An ecological oasis that invites you to linger. Best food and drinks (especially pastries and cakes). In the mill shop you can find nice things for the home. Simply a place to feel good☺

On my last day in Germany, we went for a hike through a beautiful forest and ate at the quaint Eselmühle restaurant that had so many delicious, healthy and affordable food options. In fact, the majority of the menu was designated as "Demeter", regarded as the highest standards for organic or biodynamic food in the world. My meal tasted so fresh and divine...it was out if this world!!
